of western North Carolina, Asheville Cardiology Associates has
been committed to excellence in patient care for over 30 years.
The pediatric practice was added in 1994 and is currently staffed
by 3 Board certified pediatric cardiologists.
The ICAEL accredited echo laboratory provides comprehensive echo
services including routine 2D, fetal, TEE and exercise echo.
Conferences and lab meetings are held weekly. Hewlett Packard
digital equipment and Philips 5500 ultrasound equipment are currently
used.

for CME is also available. No nights or weekends are required.
Responsibilities:Pediatric cardiac sonographer
sought with the ability to perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures
and use independent judgment to correlate the clinical history
with the ultrasound findings. Our pediatric cardiac sonographers
perform an average of six 2D echocardiograms per day and complete
preliminary reports for each study. Work is performed in both
hospital and outpatient environments.
Salary: Negotiable.
Requirements: Candidates must demonstrate
proficiency in operating M-Mode and 2-D imaging and color, pulsed/continuous
wave Doppler. Experience in TEE, fetal echocardiography and stress
echocardiography is desirable but not mandatory.
One year of adult and/or pediatric experience is required. Candidates
must also be registered or registry eligible in cardiac testing,
have the ability to work patiently with pediatric patients and
their families, and have applicable anatomy and physiology knowledge.
